Service of the front speed sensor starts with disconnecting the speed sensor connector. The process starts by unconnecting the sensor connector followed by removing 4 resin clips and 3 clamp bolts which fasten the sensor harness to the steering knuckle and upper arm and side rail while applying a torque of 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) for the steering knuckle and upper arm bolts and 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) for the side rail bolts. The last step involves removing the speed sensor installation bolt from the steering knuckle and applying the same torque of 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, Remove the bolt that holds the speed sensor onto the steering knuckle whose torque value should be 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.). Follow the reversal of removal steps while keeping the sensor surface and knuckle area free from foreign objects before ensuring flat sensor contact with the knuckle during bolt tightening. Inspection of the speed sensor signal must take place after installation.
