When servicing the oxygen sensor, first remove the air cleaner inlet assembly. Next, remove the air fuel ratio sensor connector and remove the wire harness clamp. Carefully take out the air fuel ratio sensor using Special Service Tool 09224-00010, without any form of damage.

How to install the heated oxygen sensor on Toyota Tacoma?

Installation of the heated oxygen sensor in 2TR-FE system requires Special Service Tool 09224-00010 with a torque of either 44 Nm or 40 Nm. Plug the wire harness connector and the oxygen sensor connector. Lastly, re-attach the negative battery terminal at 3.9 Nm and test for exhaust gas leakage.
