In order to clean off the front lower ball joint, remove the front wheel and front axle shaft LH nut. Next remove the speed sensor, front disc, and brake caliper. Take the tie rod and suspension arm apart, axle assembly, and lastly, lower ball joint assembly.

How to service and repair the ball joint on Toyota Sienna?

In order to service the ball joint, take out the steering knuckle and the lower ball joint. Disassemble by Special Service Tool: 09628-62011 the dust deflector, cotter pin, and nut. Check the joint, note the torque values and renew cotter pin. Install and align the dust deflector and verify ABS sensor and alignment of wheel.
