Joint Assembly, Lower Ball, Front Passenger Side

The installation of the front lower ball joint requires fastening the steering knuckle with the nut to reach 123 Nm torque (1254 kgf-cm, 91ft-lbf) before applying oil-resistant measures on the screw and tapered parts. Install the new cotter pin when the holes for the pin are not aligned while tightening the nut to 60 degrees. Conduct an assembly of the front axle with the front shock absorber through 2 bolts and 2 nuts which require 290 Nm (2956 kgf-cm, 214ft-lbf) torque. The front drive shaft assembly requirements alignment matches before installing it to the front axle hub sub-assembly. To connect the front lower suspension arm to the front lower ball joint, attach it with a bolt and 2 nuts, torquing them to 92 Nm (938 kgf-cm, 68ft-lbf). Attach the tie rod assembly then install the front disc before adding the front disc brake caliper assembly to the steering knuckle through 2 bolts that need a torque of 104 Nm (1060 kgf-cm, 77ft-lbf). Secure the front speed sensor using a bolt and tighten it to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71in-lbf) while maintaining the tip clean and firmly inserting it into the knuckle without any rotation. After installing the axle shaft nut check the ABS speed sensor operation and use 76ft-lbf (103 Nm, 1050 kgf-cm) of torque to fasten the front wheel before checking front wheel directions and adjustments.

Mark them, then use a plastic hammer to separate the front drive shaft assembly from the front axle assembly, taking care to loosen the staked part of the front axle hub nut completely to avoid damaging the threads.
