The installation process for the rear drive shaft assembly LH begins with drive shaft attachment to the axle carrier while protecting boot and ABS speed sensor rotor as well as the oil seal present on the axle hub bearing. The installation of the drive shaft and side gear shaft must be done together while matching the marks but being cautious not to damage any boots or end cover. Secure the drive shaft using 4 nuts along with washers and torque them to a value of 56 Nm (571 kgf-cm, 41 ft-lbf). To prepare the threaded components of the drive shaft and rear axle shaft nut use a non-residue solvent for cleaning especially when installing a brand new drive shaft. Install a new axle shaft nut before torquing it to 216 Nm (2,200 kgf-cm, 159 ft-lbf) while applying stake marks on the axle shaft nut by using a chisel and hammer. You should move forward with the installation process for the tail exhaust pipe assembly. Mount the rear speed sensor with the bolt yet ensure 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) torque and ensure no sensor damage happens during installation alongside preventing foreign debris accumulation or wire twist from affecting it. The rear wheel gets installed before torquing it to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). A check for exhaust gas leaks and ABS speed sensor signal should also take place.
