When replacing the axle shaft assembly start by aligning front
Drive Shaft assembly LH splines then install it using a brass bar and hammer setup with the snap ring opening at the bottom to prevent dust cover, boot, and oil seal damage. After that install both front drive shaft assemblies with the RH piece first then add the bearing bracket hole snap ring and bolt that needs 32 Nm (330 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf) torque while maintaining boot or oil seal protection. The service order requires installation of the front axle assembly LH followed by the No. 1 front suspension lower arm LH and then tie rod assembly LH followed by front
Speed Sensor LH and finally front stabilizer link assembly LH. A socket wrench has 30 mm sockets to tighten a new axle hub nut to 294 Nm (2996 kgf-cm, 216 ft-lbf) torque after cleaning the threaded components with a non-residue solvent. The nut should be staked using a chisel with a hammer. Before adding automatic transaxle fluid install the front wheels at 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf) torque and place the under covers in the order of No. 2 engine under cover then No. 1 engine under cover followed by floor under cover LH. Complete the procedure by performing front wheel alignment adjustment while checking the status of the ABS speed sensor signal.
