In order to eliminate the parking brake cable, unhook the negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds. Do the same with the No. 2 cable. Take out a range of console and seat assemblies, the parking brake lever and others. Lastly, unscrew and pull the No. 1 and No. 3 parking brake cable assemblies.

How to install the parking brake cable on Scion xB?

Installation of parking brake cable requires that the support clamp be attached, the cable to be inserted in the brake cylinder and fastened. Install the lever, connect the cable and bolt it to the lever, and fitting the floor insulators and exhaust pipe. Lastly, fine tune the lever, fit the console and detect leaks.
