The front drive shaft installation requires ATF coating of the inboard joint splashole followed by shaft spline realignment before using a brass bar with a hammer to install it properly while the snap ring facing downward and carefully preserving the dust cover, boot and oil seal and maintaining assembly level. Install the front drive shaft assembly RH by applying ATF coating to the spline then installing the assembly while using a screwdriver for installing the new bearing bracket hole snap ring without damaging boot and oil seal. Also install a new bolt with torque set to 32 Nm (330 kgf-cm, 24 ft-lbf). The installation of the front drive shaft assembly LH to the front axle hub sub-assembly LH must be done while paying close attention to avoid boot and
Speed Sensor rotor damage. Fasten the front suspension arm sub-assembly lower No.1 LH to its
Ball Joint through a bolt followed by 2 nuts while torquing them to 75 Nm (765 kgf-cm, 55 ft-lbf). Choose a tie rod end sub-assembly LH to install it into the steering knuckle by torquing its nut to 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft-lbf), apply a new cotter pin then extend the nut by 60 degrees if holes need alignment. Leave no foreign debris on the speed sensor front LH when installing it to the steering knuckle with a specified torque of 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf). After which install the flexible hose and speed sensor to the
Shock Absorber with a bolt using a torque of 19 Nm (192 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) while setting the sensor clip on the knuckle. The front stabilizer link assembly LH requires placement of a nut which needs to reach 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft-lbf) torque strength using a 6 mm hexagon wrench to anchor the stud if the ball joint movement causes the nut to shift. The drive shaft and axle hub threaded parts need non-residue solvent cleaning before inserting a new axle hub LH nut through a 30 mm socket wrench with torques at 294 Nm (3,000 kgf-cm, 217 ft-lbf). After that, nail the nut with a chisel and hammer. Insert the front wheel with 103 Nm torque (1,050 kgf-cm) and automatic transaxle fluid before inspecting the output fluid while performing alignment and checking ABS speed signals with EBD & TRAC & VSC and EBD systems.
