Remove the rear brake shoe and rear wheel stud by using Special Service Tool: 09650-17011. Pass a new stud through the axle hub followed by inserting the washer plate through it while tightening the hub nut. Begin by greasing the contact points before reinstalling the rear brake shoe with Special Service Tool: 09718-00010, 09921-00010, 09718-00010 together with the front brake shoe. The installation process of the rear drum brake must be checked before reinstallation of the rear brake drum sub-assembly followed by adjustment of the rear drum brake shoe clearance. The last step involves installing the rear wheel while maintaining torque at 113 Nm (1,152 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.). Both automatic transaxle and manual transaxle parking brake pedal and lever travel should be checked for proper adjustments.
