Setting up to work on the rear wheel stud starts with removing the rear wheel plus the rear
Speed Sensor before splitting the rear disc
Brake Caliper set and taking out the rear disc. Remove the
Parking Brake Shoe return tension spring, parking brake shoe strut compression spring, parking brake shoe strut, and parking brake shoe next. A technician should apply tool 09650-17011 to remove the rear wheel stud. Route a new stud into the axle hub space and place a washer plate next before tightening the hub nut. Put back the parking brake shoe and its supporting parts namely the parking brake shoe strut, strut compression spring, and shoe return tension spring. Put back the rear disc and attach the rear disc brake caliper assembly before connecting the rear speed sensor. Set the reservoir with brake fluid and bleed the brake line while checking brake fluid levels inside the reservoir and searching for fluid leaks. After fitting the rear wheel adjust its travel distance. Also confirm that the ABS speed sensor signal is working correctly.
