The appropriate procedure to replace the front wheel wheel stud requires removal of the front wheel followed by
Brake Caliper and disc removal by disconnecting the
Steering Knuckle bolt and brake line clamp before unfastening the 2 caliper and disc mounting bolts with brake caliper support throughout the process. The wheel stud removal requires Special Service Tool: 09650-17011 together with either a screwdriver or equivalent tool. To install the new wheel stud, assemble it with a washer and a nut as shown in the illustration while using a screwdriver or equivalent tool for support before removing both components. Secure the brake disc along with the caliper using 2 bolts reaching 123 Nm (1,250 kgf-cm, 90 ft. lbs.) while adding the brake line clamp to the steering knuckle through a bolt that requires torquing to 28 Nm (285 kgf-cm, 21 ft. lbs.). Reassemble the front wheel by first torquing it to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.) before performing several brake pedal depressions.
