Begin service and repair of the brake caliper by removing the front wheel while fastening the disc with hub nuts at a torque of 113 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.). The
Brake Line can be disconnected using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to capture brake fluid while applying 15 Nm torque (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.). Remove the caliper through the procedure of first removing its two bolts that should maintain 123 Nm (1,250 kgf-cm, 90 ft. lbs.) torque values. After removing the clip along with two pins and one anti-rattle spring, you can take away the two pads and four anti-squeal shims. The anti-rattle spring and clip restoration requires good rebound elasticity without damage or cracks and the absence of rust, dirt, and foreign particles. The installation process requires following the reversed brake system removal steps and filling brake fluid into the reservoir before performing the brake system bleed and leak examination.
