The proper procedure to service the front wheel stud starts with removing the front wheel followed by separating and removing the front disc brake caliper assembly along with the front disc. In this step employ Special Service Tool: 09628-10011 together with a screwdriver or equivalent tool to secure the axle hub for wheel stud removal. The procedure for wheel stud installation includes attaching a washer and nut to a new stud before using a screwdriver to hold the axle hub during the tightening of the securing nut. The procedure concludes by putting back the front wheel followed by the front disc brake caliper assembly and then the front disc while tightening the fasteners to 103 N m (1,050 kgf cm, 76 ft. lbf).
