One must first remove the front wheel and drain the automatic transaxle fluid specified for the U140F, U241E, or U151E before starting the front
Drive Shaft assembly for 2WD removal process. The front axle hub nut removal process should begin with disconnecting front
Speed Sensors from the left and right sides followed by discharging front disc brake cylinder assemblies on both front sides. Begin the front drive shaft replacement by taking off front stabilizer link units followed by disconnecting both front suspension lower No. 1 arm sub-assemblies from either side. Approach the task of steering knuckle separation with axle hubs by leading with proper marking of the drive shaft along with the axle hub before any damage occurs. Disassemble the tie rod end sub-assemblies followed by removing the front drive shaft assembly on the left side by using Special Service Tool: 09520-01010, 09520-24010, 09520-32040 while protecting the transaxle case oil seal along with inboard joint boot and drive shaft dust cover. Both right side bolts need removal before carefully extracting the drive shaft unit with its bearing case until the operation is complete without damage. Vehicle weight placement in the hub bearing requires Special Service Tools: 09608-16042, 09608-02021, and 09608-02041 which need to be utilized to avoid damage.
