Installation of the front lower ball joint requires the user to connect it to the steering knuckle with the nut at 123 Nm (1,250 kgf-cm, 91 ft-lbf) torque strength while maintaining a protective barrier between screw and tapered elements from oil contamination. A new cotter pin goes inside after installation before tighten the nut an additional 60 degrees when the cotter pin holes are off. Place the front axle hub bearing followed by the front disc brake dust cover, front axle hub and front axle hub hole snap ring, front wheel No. 1 bearing dust deflector and front axle assembly in sequence. After installing the front suspension lower arm on position number one, attach the tie rod end assembly then install the front disc components along with their attached front disc
Brake Caliper assembly. You should install the front
Speed Sensor followed by the front axle hub nut. The inspection of front axle hub bearing looseness and runout should occur after separating the front disc brake caliper assembly and removing the front disc. The procedure requires installation of the front disc brake assembly and front axle hub nut in that order. Before installing the front wheel apply torque of 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf) while testing the ABS speed sensor signal. Perform necessary front wheel alignment checks after installation.
