First users must replace the connecting-part packing with new material and clean all packing surfaces free from dirt and grease before proceeding with the front door lock installation. Before installation, apply MP grease to all sliding and rotating components of the front door lock. The front door inside locking cable should be placed next followed by engagement of the 3 claws before closing the cover. The front door lock remote control cable should be installed alongside a new wire harness seal before going on the front door lock. Place the front door open rod into the front door lock while positioning it correctly against the outside handle frame before fully connecting it. Install the front door lock by using a 'TORX' socket wrench T30 to tighten three screws that received Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324 or Three Bond 1324 or an equivalent while applying 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) force on the screws. After connecting the front door outside handle cover and front door frame rear lower sub-assembly the order of installation continues with front door window regulator sub-assembly, front door glass run, front door glass sub-assembly, front door service hole cover, front door trim bracket, front door belt moulding assembly, outer rear view mirror assembly, front door trim board sub-assembly, front door inside handle bezel, front door lower frame bracket garnish, and front armrest base upper panel. The installation process ends with connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal while tightening it at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
