Begin the manual valve lever shaft installation of the park/neutral position switch by installing the two bolts provisionally then switching the lock plate for a new one before tightening the manual valve shaft nut to 6.9 Nm (70 kgf-cm, 61 in-lbf). For installing the control shaft lever we need to first mount it temporarily before turning it anti-clockwise to its stop point then clockwise 2 notches before uninstalling it. Position the groove on the neutral basic line then fasten the switch with 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) of torque for the 2 mounting bolts. Position the control shaft lever into the transmission while screwing the nut and lock plate together and tightening them to 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). The transmission control cable assembly needs installation at the control shaft lever with the nut while applying 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf) torque before connecting the connector to the park/neutral position switch assembly. The procedure requires you to put on the No. 2 battery carrier first and then add the battery last along with an adjustment check for shift lever position and final inspection of the park/neutral position switch assembly.
