How to replace the Shift Cable assembly (MTM) on Scion xA?

To install the transmission control cable assembly, uninstall the front floor heat insulator, shift lever knob and console box. Disassemble the shift lever assembly, remove the transmission control cables and pull them out through the floor. Rewire by attaching cables and joining clips and assembling parts with known torque values.

How to remove the shift cable from the C50 manual transaxle on Scion xD?

In order to take the shift cable out of the C50 manual transaxle, loosen up the shift lever knob and upper console panel and then remove the shift cable. Next, take out the parts of the console box, remove the heated oxygen sensor, and the front exhaust pipe. Last: disconnect control shift cable and remove transmission control cable assembly.
