The Scion Flywheel is applied to store energy that keeps the engine running in a smooth manner and also provides a quick engagement of the clutch which makes all of the gear changes in the car feel lively. Scion was born in 2003 and it did not conform to the conventional car marketing by designing Virtual Scion City, launching limited-run Release Series, and using no haggle pricing that enabled young drivers to choose bold colors and custom gear easily. Scions applied to be small but spacious providing first time buyers with an enjoyable entry into the Toyota family and more than a million of them had left the showrooms before 2016. As a driving test lab, Scion tried new technology and design concepts, many of which were subsequently repurposed in the Toyota brand, so the heritage has continued to ride on even today. A Scion Flywheel is a heavy balanced disc attached to the crankshaft, it is applied to store rotational energy, to even engine pulses and provide the friction surface of the clutch. Changing the Scion Flywheel at home involves cutting off the battery, lifting up the drivetrain and pushing the transmission aside. Take off the clutch, check the rear main seal and pilot bearing and clean the crank flange. Install new Flywheel on the register with fresh bolts with threadlocker and screw them in a crisscross pattern to the proper torque. Check runout using a straight edge, fit and re-fit the clutch and pressure plate, align disc, re-fit transmission, reconnect wiring and fluids and finally give a quick test start to ensure smooth running.
