Installation of the transmission control cable assembly requires 3 nuts which need torquing to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf) before attaching to the control cable bracket through 2 new clips. Install the control cable assembly by mounting it onto the shift lever retainer in which the cable outer faces upward with its lock protruding beyond portion A. The control shift cable should be connected to the shift lever while the control select cable should be installed with its clip onto the shift lever. Ensure the adjusting mechanism lock points to the left side of the vehicle and that the clip is positioned correctly. Adjustment of the control select cable needs adjuster case cover sliding followed by gentle cable rod pull towards the rear for tension until the lock piece inserts into position then finishing by moving the cover across the lock piece protrusion. Integrate the front No. 1 floor heat insulator using 2 bolts with a nut that requires a torque of 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) before connecting the heated oxygen sensor connector. Follow the installation sequence for the front
Exhaust Pipe assembly and the front floor center brace and the front console box and the rear console box sub-assembly together with the console box carpet and the console box cover rear and upper console panel and shift lever knob sub-assembly.
