The Scion Valve Stem Seal maintains oil control around every intake and the exhaust valve, safeguarding the performance and avoidance of blue smoke. As it was constructed to serve the adventurous heart of Scion, it complements the already bold colored car with basic prices and customized details that attracted young drivers since 2003. Scion was the first manufacturer to introduce new marketing initiatives including virtual showrooms, limited Release Series trims, which served as a test laboratory so that each Scion model struck a balance between innovation and good reliability. Although the badge bowed out in 2016, its millions of proud owners still get that playful advantage when they turn the key. A Valve Stem Seal is an exact rubber and rubber cap that measures out the quantity of oil on the valve guide and provides a bit of oil but not too much to enter the combustion chamber. To install a new Scion Valve Stem Seal, remove the battery, pull the engine covers, turn the crank until the target cylinder is at the top dead center, press each valve upwards, keepers removed, retainer and spring lifted then slide the old seal out. Wipe out the guide, towel off fresh oil and press the new Valve Stem Seal down square with a driver until it fits firmly in place. Reattach the spring, retainer, and keepers, and repeat all the valves, reassemble all the components removed, reconnect the battery, and start the engine and make sure that the seals do not leak.
