- Q: How to dispose of the Liftgate Lift Support Assembly LH safely on Scion tC?A:Set the Back Door Stay Assembly LH inside a vise with the piston rod fully elongated to perform disposal. Thoroughly reduce the amount between points A and B using a metal saw to liberate the gas. Protective glasses must be worn and the cutting area needs covering since the gas could push metal particles outwards. The discharge produces a harmless and odorless gas without color. These procedures should be duplicated during RH side processing as well.
