The technician should start by removing the front door frame rear lower sub-assembly with the front door outside handle cover that follows. The process for front door lock removal includes disconnection of the connector followed by T30 "TORX" socket wrench application to remove three screws. Afterward, lower the front door lock and pull out the front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame until the front door lock together with cables can be extracted as one piece. Afterwards detach the front door lock open rod from the front door lock then strip off the door lock wire harness seal and pull out the front door lock remote control cable. The screwdriver equipped with protective tape can be used to open the cover by disengaging the 3 claw mechanisms. This operation allows removal of the interior locking cable from the front door.
