A technician should start the door lock actuator replacement process by disconnecting the negative battery cable. The front door lower frame bracket garnish, front door inside handle bezel and front door trim board sub-assembly along with the front armrest base upper panel must come off first. Alongside removing the outer rear view mirror assembly you must also separate the front door belt moulding assembly and the front door trim bracket and service hole cover and glass sub-assembly and glass run as well as window regulator sub-assembly. The technician must first eliminate both the front door frame rear lower sub-assembly and front door outside handle cover. The front door lock removal procedure requires connector disconnection followed by T30 "TORX" socket wrench usage to remove 3 screws. Afterward, move the front door lock downward until you can access the pull out front door lock open rod from the outside handle frame. Finally separate the front door lock and cables as one unit. The procedure begins by taking out the front door lock open rod from the unit before removing the door lock wire harness seal and extraction of the front door lock remote control cable. To open the cover and take out the front door inside locking cable users must wrap a screwdriver tip with tape then disengage the 3 claws.
