Use solvent to clean the threaded portion and apply adhesive to the 2 bolts of the back door damper stay upper bracket before installing them to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf) torque. The process of installing the back door stay assembly requires refraining from touching the rod's stroke sections to stop foreign matter from sticking and keeping cotton gloves off to avoid fiber contamination and maintaining horizontal support of the cylinders free of any external forces for preserving their shape.
