Service and repair of the rear brake flexible hose begins with removing the rear wheel followed by draining brake fluid but immediately washing off brake fluid which touches painted surfaces. The remover of the rear brake flexible hose demands Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to conduct brake tube separation before extracting the hose and two retaining clips from the axle beam. The axle beam installation requires attaching the new flexible hose with 2 new clips together followed by using Special Service Tool: 09023-00100 to mount 2 brake tubes onto the flexible hose with precise installation torque determined at 15 N m (155 kgf cm, 11 ft. lbf) without the tool or 14 N m (143 kgf cm, 10 ft. lbf) with it through a torque wrench using a 300 mm (11.81 in.) fulcrum length for accuracy measurements. Following brake fluid addition to the reservoir users must bleed the master cylinder as well as the brake line before checking the reservoir fluid level and inspecting for brake fluid leakage. A torque of 103 N m (1,050 kgf cm, 76 ft. lbf) should be applied to the rear wheel for final installation.
