By using a union nut wrench you should tighten the 2 brake tubes onto the flexible hose with 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf), but the torque value with a union nut wrench should be 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf). The required torque value can be reached with a torque wrench measuring 300 mm (11.8 in.) in length where a separated by a 22 mm (0.866 in.) union nut wrench should maintain a parallel position to the torque wrench. Brake fluid should be added to the reservoir before performing master cylinder bleeding and sequential bleeding from brake line to brake actuator (including VSC features). Ensure to inspect the reservoir fluid level after installation while conducting a brake fluid leak inspection. To install the rear wheel apply final torque of 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).

The procedure to install the front brake flexible hose starts with attaching it to the union bolt and new gasket then tightening to 30 Nm (310 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf). When installing the flexible hose with speed sensor on ABS vehicles use the bolt that requires a torque force of 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf) and refrain from allowing the bolt to twist. Vehicles without ABS need the flexible hose bolted with this torque setting of 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf) and must prevent hose twisting during installation. Fasten the new clip using a union nut wrench to secure the brake tube while applying force of 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf) when not using the wrench or 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf) when using it. When applying these torques we should use a 300 mm (11.8 in.) long torque wrench together with a parallel-positioned 22 mm (0.866 in.) union nut wrench. Post-installation requires filling the brake reservoir while performing master cylinder bleeding followed by brake line bleeding and checking the reservoir fluid level before examining for brake fluid leakage. Complete the front wheel attachment process by tightening it to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf).

The torque should be 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf).

Apply a torque of 14 Nm (144 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf).

A torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.) and a union nut wrench with a fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.866 in.).

A union nut wrench is used to connect the 2 brake tubes to the flexible hose.

Remove the rear wheel and drain the brake fluid, ensuring to wash off any brake fluid that contacts painted surfaces immediately.

Bleed the master cylinder and the brake line, then check the fluid level in the reservoir.

15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf).
