The procedure to uninstall the oil cooler from a 2GR-FE engine begins with removing the battery before removing the cool air intake duct seal as well as the No. 2 air cleaner inlet and No. 1 air cleaner inlet and air cleaner cap sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly. To continue with the removal process first remove the V-bank cover sub-assembly while draining engine coolant and engine oil then disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator. The technician must detach the air fuel ratio sensor connector before unclamping the heat insulator and then unscrewing its securing bolts before removing the radiator reserve tank assembly and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide and finally the No. 2

Exhaust Pipe assembly together with center exhaust pipe assembly along with front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly and front exhaust pipe assembly. Uninstall the No. 2 manifold stay and exhaust manifold assembly LH after removing 6 nuts together with the gasket. Close the oil cooler system by removing the bolt followed by two clamps and 4 clips which enables hose disconnection then extraction of the oil cooler union bolt, assembly, and O-ring.
