The oil cooler replacement process requires coolant and engine oil draining followed by Special Service Tool: 09228-06501 removal of the oil filter sub-assembly. You should disconnect the two water by-pass hoses followed by removing the nut before using a socket wrench with 30 mm size to remove the union. Very next disconnect the oil cooler while also removing its O-ring. When installing the oil cooler users should place a new O-ring on it and coat it with engine oil. Connect the oil cooler and union by using the socket wrench (30 mm) and tighten the components to 79 Nm (800 kgf-cm, 58 ft. lbs.) and torque the nut to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.). Complete the evaluation by inspecting the vehicle for oil leakages as well as checking for engine coolant leaks.
