Remove the Air Bag sensor prior to any repair job when likely shock exists, and never incorporate SRS components from different vehicles as new parts must be used for replacement. All SRS components require no disassembly and no self-repair. Part replacement must happen when defects are detected. When checking electrical circuits you should use a volt/ohmmeter with minimum 10 kOhms/V impedance resistance following all instructions that appear on SRS component information labels. The process of disconnecting the connectors that belong to steering pad, front passenger Air Bag assembly, curtain shield Air Bag assembly and front seat outer belt assembly begins by first pressing the lock button then raising the connector. Securely push the lock button so it clicks to establish the connection. Connect all components of the front passenger Air Bag assembly front seat side Air Bag assembly and center Air Bag sensor assembly by completing the attachment methods just as with the steering pad assembly. Secure each connector until it locks properly with an audible signal.
