How to service the side Air Bag sensor on the LH side on Toyota FJ Cruiser?

In order to service the LH side Air Bag sensor, unplug the negative battery post and wait 90 seconds. Take off any trim that is needed to reach the sensor, disconnect it and take out the bolt. Install the new sensor where there is correct torque and the SRS wiring. Install trim, re-assemble battery and initialize.

The center Air Bag sensor assembly may be installed by shutting off the ignition, and disconnecting the negative battery terminal within 90 seconds.
