In order to remove the steering angle sensor, disconnect battery, direct front wheels straight and remove required assemblies. Install a sensor, a wheel and components. Lastly, check the steering center, calibrate the VSC system and verify the ABS and VSC warning lights.

How to remove the Steering Angle Sensor on Scion xD?

Make sure that the front wheels are straight, remove negative battery cable and wait 90 seconds to avoid air bag deployment. Take out the steering pad, steering wheel assembly and lower and upper covers of the column. The steering angle sensor can be removed by disengaging 6 claws and 2 pins and removing the spiral cable.
