To replace the Rack and Pinion Boot, the first step is to ensure the safety of the support of the car by removing the wheel and marking the tie-rod end. Take off the battered boot, brush the rack smooth and examine to find the scoring. Place the new Rack and Pinion Boot into the rack grooves and roll it correctly along, not twisting the rubber. Install the clamps that are provided, and thread the tie-rod back to its align mark and torque, and then lock the wheel lock to lock the wheel so that the boot is not bound.
