The Scion Drag Link makes steering responsive by converting the motion of the steering box into accurate wheel angle to allow drivers to feel confident and in control. Scion became the company born out of a brand that launched in 2003 that attracted the attention of young drivers to bold color, simple pricing, and limited Release Series models that made a person feel exclusive. These small cars gave their owners the opportunity to customize every aspect of the car, and Scion even created Virtual Scion City to stimulate imagination. As a guinea pig to the parent company, the badge sold over a million vehicles and brought many new customers into the brand, and proved that Scion could bend the rules before the line ended in 2016 but the spirit would continue in the form of future ideas. The bar connecting the pit man arm and the steering arm is referred to as a Drag Link, which translates the input of the wheels into straight tracking. It is important to note that the installation of a new Drag Link is carried out in the following way: the axle is supported, wheel chocks are put in place, and the vehicle is parked on a level area. Turn on the steering, withdraw the cotter pins, and loosen the castles nuts of each joint, and with a puller free the two joints. Find a length matching part to the old part, thread the ends and move any hardware. Install new cotter pins, tighten fittings to proper torque, insert new cotter pins, grease the fittings, lower vehicle and ensure that steering wheel is centered after which the vehicle is then checked once more. When the Drag Link is positioned in the proper position, then the wheels are responsive.
