The Heater Control Assembly can be replaced by disconnection of the negative battery terminal and a 90-second wait. Take off the shift lever knob, console panel and instrument cluster finish panel. Disassemble heater control, and reattach eventually reversed. Re attach battery and initialize some systems.

How to service and repair the A/C Switch in the center cluster module on Scion xB?

To service the center cluster module switch, disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds. Remove the heater control knobs, unscrew the instrument cluster finish panel, and detach connectors. Unscrew and remove the center cluster module switch, then reinstall everything in reverse order. Reconnect the battery terminal.
