The Scion A/C Hose directs refrigerant under pressure between climate components to make summer rides easily cooled. In 2003, Scion came in with vivid colors, low Release Series models and no-haggle buying plan directly addressed to young drivers who wanted something new. Owners were fond of how every Scion was a blank canvas, which could be filled with stickers, body kits, and technological add ons, and still be supported by reliability of Toyota and strong resale. A/C Hose duty is not complicated, it is a flexible connection of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, accumulator. Installation of a new A/C Hose would require first recovering refrigerant and trace-drawing the existing route to install the new one in a perfect position. Loose fittings, remove the worn line, and polish all of the mating surfaces. Install fresh O-rings, apply a dab of refrigerant oil to them, drop the hose in, and attach the hose to spec. Make sure that the A/C Hose is not near heat or moving components, and vacuum the system, leak test, and refill the system, followed by starting the engine to ensure that frosty air is present.
