  A: Before removing spark plugs from the 2UZ-FE engine you must start by removing both throttle body cover assembly then air cleaner hose assembly. First detach the front fender apron seal LH then extract the No. 2 air hose before taking out the No. 3 air tube. Once the Bank 1 air switching valve assembly comes off you should proceed by taking out the front fender apron seal on the right-hand side of the vehicle. First detach the No. 1 water bypass pipe together with the No. 2 air injection system hose before removing the No. 2 air tube. Afterward proceed with the removal of the Bank 2 air switching valve assembly. The first step will involve opening the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors followed by removing 8 bolts to extract the entire set of 8 ignition coil assemblies. The last task requires a 16 mm plug wrench to remove the 8 spark plugs.
