- Q: How to install the ignition coil and spark plugs on 2009 Toyota Sequoia?A: The proper torque setting for installing spark plugs and ignition coils using a 16 mm plug wrench on the 2UZ-FE engine is 18 Nm or 178 kgf-cm or 13 ft-lbf. Connect the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors after installing the 8 ignition coil assemblies with the 8 bolts that should be tightened to 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf). The installation of Bank 2's air switching valve assembly must be performed first followed by attachment of the No. 2 air tube and the No. 2 air injection system hose. Next install the front fender apron seal RH after connection of the No. 1 water by-pass pipe. The air switching valve assembly for Bank 1 and No. 3 air tube installation needs to be completed followed by No. 2 air hose connection before adding the front fender apron seal LH. Install both the air cleaner hose assembly and the throttle body cover assembly as the last step.
