  Install the 2UZ-FE engine Spark Plugs by using a 16 mm plug wrench to tighten them to 18 Nm (178 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf). After installing the 8 ignition coil assemblies with their 8 bolts to specified torque 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf), connect the 8 ignition coil assembly connectors. The air switching valve assembly belongs in Bank 2 followed by No. 2 air tube and connection of No. 2 air injection system hose. Install the No. 1 water by-pass pipe before you add the front fender apron seal RH to its position. First, install the Bank 1 air switching valve assembly then add the No. 3 air tube and No. 2 air hose and end by putting on the front fender apron seal LH. The installation finishes with assembly of both air cleaner hose and throttle body cover.

  Beginning the removal work on 2UZ-FE ignition coils and Spark Plugs requires initial removal of throttle body cover assembly then the air cleaner hose assembly. First remove the front fender apron seal from the left side followed by removal of the No. 2 air hose and the No. 3 air tube. The technician must take out the Bank 1 air switching valve assembly before disconnecting the right side front fender apron seal. You must disconnect the No. 1 water bypass pipe together with the No. 2 air injection system hose before taking out the No. 2 air tube assembly and Bank 2 air switching valve assembly. Six bolts secure ignition coil assembly connectors until all 8 can be disconnected. After the removal of these bolts the 8 ignition coil assemblies can be pulled out. Make use of the 16 mm plug wrench to take out the 8 spark plugs for completion.
