  A: The first step when removing spark plugs from a 2UZ-FE engine involves the removal of throttle body cover assembly and air cleaner hose assembly. The service begins with removing the front fender apron seal on the left side before you take off the No. 2 air hose and No. 3 air tube. The next task involves taking the right side front fender apron seal out followed by removal of the air switching valve assembly which serves Bank 1. Remove the No. 1 water by-pass pipe after disconnecting it along with the No. 2 air injection system hose and then remove the No. 2 air tube. Reroute the sequence of work by first removing the Bank 2 air switching valve assembly. First disconnect all connectors from the 8 ignition coil assemblies before removing 8 bolts to extract those assemblies. The final step requires using a 16 mm plug wrench to remove the 8 spark plugs.
