Q: How to install the camshaft position sensor on 2008 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The first step for installing a camshaft position sensor on the 2UZ-FE engine starts with installing two VVT sensors through 2 bolts which must be torquet to 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) and connecting their respective connectors. Start by putting on the intake manifold as the following step involves installing both the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly and No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly. Fans should install the EFI fuel pipe clamp plus the No. 2 water by-pass pipe before connecting the vacuum hose assembly and the air cleaner hose assembly. Use the bolt to install the camshaft position sensor and torques it to 7.5 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) at the same time as the stud bolt. The service procedure requires users to install the No. 3 timing belt cover sub-assembly LH followed by connecting the No. 1 radiator hose and installing the drive belt. Operator should perform a leak inspection before adding engine coolant to the system. Place the under cover for No. 1 engine then install the throttle body cover sub-assembly followed by placement of the front cowl top outer panel sub-assembly. Last install procedures include the front wiper motor and link assembly and the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly and the front fender to cowl side seals (fitted to both RH and LH sides) as well as the front wiper arm and blade assemblies (also RH and LH).
