2008 Scion xD Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you remove the Clock Spring Assembly / Spiral Cable on 2008 Scion xD?
A: The first step to remove the Clock Spring Assembly / Clock Spring requires front wheel alignment to the straight position followed by negative battery cable disconnection while waiting ninety seconds to avoid Air Bag activation. The first step requires removal of the steering pad and then comes the steering wheel assembly and steering column lower cover followed by the steering column upper cover. After detaching the horn connector you need to move the slider to separate the Air Bag connector before unconnecting the steering sensor connector.
