2008 Scion xD Camshaft Position Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Scion xD?
A: The first step to remove the Camshaft Position Sensor for 2ZR-FE engine control requires the removal of No. 2 cylinder head cover. After disconnecting the duty vacuum switching valve connector the three engine wire harness clamps must be removed from the exhaust camshaft side. The sequence begins with dislodging the bolt that allows removal of the exhaust camshaft position sensor before performing the same procedure for the intake camshaft position sensor.
