2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Oxygen Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to service an Oxygen Sensor on 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: The first step begins with wearing gloves to service the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor along with ensuring complete cooling of the exhaust pipe assembly before trying for removal. Block the negative terminal of the battery by disconnecting the cable and let it rest for a minimum of 90 seconds to eliminate Seat Belt Pretensioner and Air Bag activation. Use Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to remove Bank 1 Sensor 1 after disconnecting its connector and taking off the engine under cover rear. The same method should be repeated to remove Bank 2 Sensor 1 from the vehicle. Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 helps install sensors per bank. The sensor installation torque should be set to 40 N.m when using the tool or 44 N.m without it. Mount this operation using a 30 cm (11.81 in.) torque wrench. Both sensor connectors need to be connected while performing the following process to reinstall the engine under cover rear and reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal then complete initialization steps for all systems that need restarts after battery removal and reinstallation.
