2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the Heated Oxygen Sensor on 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: Protective gloves should be worn together with waiting for the exhaust pipe assembly to reach proper cooling temperature before beginning service on the Heated Oxygen Sensor. Disconnecting the negative battery cable should continue for at least 90 seconds before proceeding to avoid seat belt pretensioners and Air Bags from activating. The sensor connector for Bank 1 Sensor 2 needs disconnection followed by installation of Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 to extract the sensor. The procedure should be performed again for Bank 2 Sensor 2. To install both sensors professionals must use Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 while applying a torque of 40 N.m (408 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf) when using the tool or 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) without it with a 30 cm (11.81 in.) torque wrench fulcrum. Reconnect the power cable to the negative battery terminal before performing system initialization procedures since system requirements must be met when reattaching the battery.
