2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser?
A: So you can work on the Crankshaft Position Sensor start by disconnecting the battery cable from the negative terminal and let it rest for a minimum period of 90 seconds to stop the Air Bag system. After removing the No. 1 engine under cover you must disconnect the sensor connector followed by bolt removal and sensor detachment. Position the new sensor then attach it with the bolt using 6.5 N.m (66 kgf.cm, 57 in.lbf) torque before reattaching the sensor connector. After reinstalling the No. 1 engine under cover replace the negative battery cable to its position. Initializations need to be completed as particular systems mandate them after cable removal from the negative terminal during battery connection and disconnection.
