The check valve grommet must be fitted to the booster before installing the brake vacuum check valve assembly onto the grommet. Set a new brake booster gasket on the booster before connecting the
Brake Master Cylinder push rod clevis. Tighten the push rod clevis lock nut only partially as you will set the specified torque during subsequent brake pedal height adjustment. Fasten and tighten the brake booster assembly with four nuts to reach 13 Nm torque value (130 kgf-cm or 9 ft-lbf). Use lithium soap base glycol grease to treat the push rod pin followed by installing it into the push rod clevis before securing it with a clip according to the provided illustration. Adjust and check the brake booster push rod before you install the master cylinder assembly with its sub-components and vacuum hose to the check valve. Position the ABS and traction actuator assembly with bracket before connecting
Brake Lines and filling the reservoir with brake fluid then bleeding air from the brake master cylinder as well as the brake line and ABS and traction actuator assembly. After installation you must verify that the brake pedal height and free play as well as reserve distance are correct while checking the reservoir fluid level and inspecting for brake fluid leaks before installing the air cleaner case sub-assembly for 2AR-FE or the air cleaner case for 2GR-FE accordingly.
