How to service the Camshaft Position Sensor on Toyota 4Runner?

Service of the Camshaft Position Sensor starts by detaching the No.2 timing belt cover. The camshaft position sensor requires you to disconnect its connector followed by bolt removal until the sensor can be taken out. Since the next step involves working on the No.3 timing belt cover, disconnect the current cord clamp. You must first connect the timing belt cover to the cord clamp before installing the camshaft position sensor with its bolt while applying 7.8 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 69 in.lbf) of torque and lastly reconnect the camshaft position sensor connector. Replacement of the No.2 timing belt cover completes the installation process.
