Installation of a new Scion Rocker Arm would start by disconnection of a battery and breaking the valve cover. Check studs, pushrods, and tips, apply sealant on the corners of gaskets to prevent leaking, slide arm over valve stem and seated pushrod, use fingers and tighten lightly, press lightly, adjust lash or preload to factory specifications, and tighten evenly. Torque later on with wrench to be on the safe side. Turn the crank by hand to ensure free movement, install a new gasket, screw the cover, resume hoses and the battery, start the engine, and ensure that the Rocker Arm provides silent leak free operation.
