The Scion Camber and Alignment Kit allows drivers to adjust the camber or caster of their suspension, reclaiming sharp handling, balanced tyre wear and general ride stability. It is a small customization that was born out of the same spirit of customization that the youthful Scion was all about; this tiny bit of a hardware upgrade is well suited with cars that are simple to purchase, aggressive in color, and have a do-it-yourself attitude. After 2003, Scion took a new turn in the limelight hosting events in the Virtual Scion City, launching limited Release Series trims and converting over a million first-time buyers into fans. The smaller models acted as a moving test lab to new ideas and thus allowed owners to be creative without emptying their pockets. Although manufacturing ceased in 2016, Scion influence remains present in the expectations of drivers regarding individuality. The Camber and Alignment Kit itself has an eccentric cam on its shaft, and therefore the rotation of the latter slide the wheel knuckle out or in to make specific adjustments to the alignment. To install, first park the car, place it on a flat surface, use the parking brake, loosen the lug nuts then raise the car until the wheel is not in touch with the floor, and then remove the wheel. Label the starting position of the strut-to-knuckle, loosen the factory bolt and pull it out. Install the Camber and Alignment Kit, with the cam washer facing the required adjustment, thread the nut manually and then install the suspension back to the ride level. Screw the Camber and Alignment Kit until you see the caster number on your gauge, screw it until it is taut, replace the wheel, get the car down and then complete with alignment check and test drive.
