2010 Toyota Yaris Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the ABS Control Module on 2010 Toyota Yaris?
A: Starting the removal of the brake actuator for vehicles without VSC requires draining brake fluid then washing off all painted surfaces that get exposed. The procedure starts by removing three components in this sequence: battery followed by battery tray and battery carrier. Before extracting the brake actuator of Sedan models users must first separate the clamp then activate the lock lever to liberate the lock and disconnect the brake actuator connector while keeping brake fluid away from the detached component. You should use a union nut wrench to divide the brake tube from its connection with the front flexible hose and separate two brake tubes from brake tube No.1 way and from the brake master cylinder while also dividing six brake tubes from the brake actuator. Reconnect brake tubes and disconnect the brake clamp before unscrewing three bolts which separate the actuator with bracket while protecting brake tubes from damage and wire harness integrity. Before working on the Hatchback brake actuator you need to first release the lock lever then disconnect the brake actuator connector while paying attention to the brake fluid. Use the union nut wrench on brake tubes then follow by labeling and removing the brake tube clamp which allows the extraction of the brake actuator with bracket by unscrewing three bolts. The actuator bracket assembly must be removed by unfastening two Sedan-based Nuts or three bolts on the Hatchback models.
